Optional analytics

I use optional analytics to see how people explore CORPO and where loading fails. PostHog receives page and loading events linked to a random browser ID. You can play without it.

Your choice in this browser: Checking your choice. Analytics is off.

Only four kinds of event: a page was viewed, the game started loading, the game finished loading, or loading failed.
Nothing from before your choice is sent. No session replay, advertising or vendor script runs in your browser.
The first page you open, and a game launch that starts before your choice is confirmed, may not be counted at all.
If you turn analytics off while offline, it stops in this browser immediately. The server is notified when you reconnect. If Allow analytics cannot be confirmed, analytics stays off and you must choose Allow analytics again.
Events go to PostHog, Inc., which processes them in the United States. PostHog keeps them under its standard retention for this project. I do not promise a shorter fixed period.
Events waiting to be sent are kept for up to 7 days, then removed by an automated cleanup. If a cleanup run fails or is delayed, removal can take longer. A short record of each event ID is kept for 30 days so repeat deliveries of the same event can be recognized.
Your choice is remembered for 180 days, then you are asked again.
Opening Online Account, sign-in or password reset turns guest analytics off. Guest and account activity are not linked.

Turning analytics off

Turning analytics off stops collection in this browser immediately and cancels events that have not been sent. A request already admitted for delivery may still complete, even after collection is switched off. Retries can repeat the same event ID; it lets the server recognize repeat deliveries, not guarantee that an event is sent only once. Turning analytics off does not delete events PostHog already received.

To ask for those to be deleted, email privacy@playcorpo.com. I keep a record of your choice and its random browser ID for 30 days after you turn analytics off or the choice expires, so I can find your events. After that record is removed, or if you clear this site's cookies, I can no longer match past events to you. Deletion of events already received by PostHog without a person reference is not yet verified for this project; confirming it is a release requirement, and I do not claim it works today.

Visit statistics

Separately from optional analytics, the hosting platform (Lovable) counts visits for this site using short-lived visit IDs. It does not set cookies, use browser storage or build profiles across visits. Your analytics choice does not change it.

Cookies and storage

The site keeps one small essential cookie so your privacy choice can be recorded safely. It identifies your choice, not you, and is not used for analytics. Essential browser storage coordinates privacy choices between tabs, including pending off choices and unconfirmed Allow operations; it keeps those choices off until safely resolved. Guest progress stays in this browser's storage. Online Account play is separate.
