The Muleback U1 is a reclaimed utility pickup used for mixed salvage and delivery work. Its open bed can carry recovered equipment, protected cases or a restrained servo sled. A charcoal body and replacement ivory driver door identify this familiar city model. Lancers value the flexibility, but the size of the return load still limits which contracts they can accept.

A pickup is useful because the crew can carry its own equipment outward and a different load home. Removable cases and supports adapt the bed without turning the vehicle into a completely different machine for each trip. Parts replaced during repair give individual examples their own history.

The vehicle needs service, compatible parts and a route it can use. Finding a valuable machine does not make it fit the bed or increase what the truck can support. For an independent Lancer, time spent waiting for a repair is time without income. A dependable familiar vehicle can therefore be more valuable than a larger recovery that nobody nearby can maintain.
