The city's clothing shops buy salvaged garments, sell repaired stock and help customers find a workable fit. Corpos need clothes they can wear through a full day of business and site visits. Lancers need gear that works with packs, weather and long trips. A good garment may only need an altered cuff or replacement closure to return to use.

Condition matters more than an old label or original price. A technical shell with a broken closure can be worth repairing. An undershirt with failed sensing electronics may still have value as ordinary clothing. Customers try garments with the equipment they actually carry so a comfortable fit doesn't become a problem in use.

Wearable stock is kept separate from donor material that can supply sound panels or fittings. Scarcity changes what buyers will pay. If a common size or suitable weather layer becomes hard to find, clothing recovery can offer a Lancer a better return than it did on the previous trip.
