In this entry
An old servo reaches an archive console during a business meeting and starts destroying the powered equipment. A Corpo fires her Proxy C2 while the others move behind the desk with paper records. The office is inside a repaired building, but that doesn't remove the risk from surviving machines. Losing the console could also destroy work that is difficult to reconstruct.
An offline computer still runs on electricity, so it remains a target for an infected servo. The machine doesn't need a new remote instruction to attack it. Its stored order is enough.
The people in the meeting carry weapons because they know useful places can still be exposed to old threats. The C2's city configuration fires individual shots in a space shared with colleagues and property. Paper copies offer something people can physically move, although they may only preserve part of the information. Afterward, the business has to establish what remains usable and whether the damaged records can be recovered.
