Combat
Clinic Defense
A surviving medical servo can threaten a rebuilt clinic by attacking the equipment that keeps it operating. In this encounter, the machine reaches the refrigerator while staff are still moving a patient. A Lancer fires to stop it, and an independent synth helps with the evacuation. The target is powered equipment, but destroying it would put people's care at risk.

Combat
Quay Defense
A Type R Ranger emerges from the water beside Cold Store and attacks its power equipment. Corpos use a Redress S3 and a pistol while an independent synth moves food boxes away from the damaged landing. The Ranger's size makes it difficult to stop. Losing the installation would also waste the work already spent catching, transporting and preserving the food inside.

Combat
Office Defense
An old servo reaches an archive console during a business meeting and starts destroying the powered equipment. A Corpo fires her Proxy C2 while the others move behind the desk with paper records. The office is inside a repaired building, but that doesn't remove the risk from surviving machines. Losing the console could also destroy work that is difficult to reconstruct.

Combat
Synth Defense in the city
Independent synths are electrical targets to infected servos just like the infrastructure they help operate. Corpos defend synth colleagues as well as buildings and equipment. A confrontation can therefore put two robots from the same original family on opposite sides. One follows the Turning's stored order; the other is an individual working with the people protecting it.

Combat
Synth Defense in the Outerlands
A synth working with a Lancer crew faces the same old servos as its human partners. Infected machines can target its powered body even when no working installation is nearby. Lancers may have to defend the synth and abandon an intact recovery opportunity. The value of a contract doesn't remove their responsibility to the people who accepted it with them.
