Lancers recover offline wallets, identity devices, storage units and payment equipment from the Old World. These objects may contain records or access information that helps Hash Vault understand the surviving blockchain archives. They are not a working payment system by themselves. Their value depends on what remains readable and whether it connects to other recoverable records.
An intact housing can contain damaged storage, and a functioning device can still hold encrypted or incomplete information. Specialists preserve the original material where possible and distinguish what it shows from what they hope to find.
A record of a business may point toward useful machinery or a former supplier. A personal device may provide an address or other lead for someone looking for relatives. Finding it does not automatically grant another person's money or property rights. Reconnection could let distant communities compare more of these records, but local recovery work has value before that larger network is restored.
