Roads filled with stranded vehicles as servos attacked powered transport and street infrastructure. Bus passengers had to evacuate, traffic stopped and emergency crews lost routes through the city. People tried to reach homes and relatives on foot. The danger came from collisions, fire and attacks on equipment around them, while the machines continued following the electrical-target order.

Transport failure connected the immediate attacks to the shortages that followed. Food, replacement parts and medical supplies could exist without a usable route to the people who needed them. Clearing one street did little if the next crossing or depot remained blocked.

Survivors learned to judge routes through direct observation and reports from other travelers. That knowledge later became valuable work for Lancers. In the city, a repaired road is useful only if deliveries can continue using it and someone notices when conditions change beyond the city's maintained streets.
