Recovering a servo includes getting its weight out of the site and back to a buyer. The Stillpoint sled supports the body, and straps keep it secured during the trip. A completed lance shutdown holds beyond the pulse interruption, but isolation and restraints remain in place. SynthWorks still needs to examine the machine before deciding what can be restored.
Transport affects the decision before a crew enters the site. A suitable body is of little value if it cannot pass through the available route or fit the vehicle. A ramp, supported load and enough handling capacity protect the recovered machine and the people moving it.
In this recovery, the crew returns with the same chest damage they observed at the depot. Preserving that condition matters because new damage can reduce the offer. The Latch travels inactive alongside the sled. The work after shutdown may be less dramatic, but it is part of the cost the Lancers need their eventual payment to cover.
